SPUNKY

Well, here it is another year done, and Spunky is thinking of hibernating for the winter!

Last year, I have had quite a few invitations to Community Events, parades, schools, and mall events. Even thought the mascot costume needed to have some work done, I was able to get to a few of the events.

In April I was at the Law Days at the Edmonton Court House. In June, I attended at Borden Park for Punky’s commemoration picnic.

During the Capital Ex, I was at the House. I enjoyed the Hallowe’enorama. As well, I went with Odaria Moline, Promotions Director, to a couple of Day Care safety presentations.

Thank you to all who contact Edmonton Safe Parent Association to have their Mascot appear at your events. It is good advertising for our program. But because I do have a full time job, I can’t always come out.

I understand that there might be some pictures going up on the website. I will be looking for me, to see how the costume looks. I know it’s a big one and can sometimes be scary for small children. But it will be fun to see Spunky the Safe Parent mascot on the net as well as in the windows of Safe Parents.
